02What makes it different from the other GLP-1s?
It is a small molecule rather than a peptide chain, so digestive enzymes do not break it down. That is why it works as a tablet, and why it is the only GLP-1 pill approved with no food, water or timing restrictions.
03Is Foundayo™ the same as Zepbound®?
No. Zepbound® is tirzepatide, a weekly injection acting on GIP and GLP-1. Foundayo™ is orforglipron, a daily tablet acting on GLP-1 only. Different molecules, different routes, different labels.
04Do I take it with food or water?
Either, or neither. You can take it at any point in the day, with or without food. That is its practical advantage over oral semaglutide.
05How does the dosing work?
Six strengths, from 0.8 mg up to 17.2 mg, stepped up gradually over several weeks. Your clinician sets the schedule and adjusts it based on how you tolerate each step, rather than pushing to the top dose by default.
06How much does Foundayo™ cost?
Through PinwellRx it starts at $399 a month on the quarterly plan, clinician care and shipping included. Lilly also runs a self-pay channel and a commercial savings card, and eligible Medicare Part D patients may pay less. We check all of it for you.
07Do I need a prescription?
Yes. It is a prescription medication, available only when a licensed clinician evaluates you and determines that treatment is medically appropriate. Completing an intake is not a guarantee of a prescription.
